Vedika Parekh is a film editor and assistant editor based in Los Angeles, originally from Mumbai. She holds an MFA in Editing from the American Film Institute (Class of 2025).

Her most recent work includes assistant editing on Come See Me in the Good Light (Apple TV+) — which won the Festival Favorite Award at Sundance 2025 and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature in 2026— and assistant editing on a current feature documentary directed by Holly Lander.

At AFI she edited 10+ short films spanning drama, comedy, and social realist work, including one shot on 35mm. She has taken courses in assistant editing, sound design and mixing, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve, and trained under Academy Award-winning sound designer Richard King.

Before moving to Los Angeles, Vedika spent several years in India’s digital and commercial content landscape — editing and producing for BBC Studios, Jio Studios, Supari Studios, the Indian National Congress, and a range of brands and independent creators. She started editing in 2019 and has worked consistently across documentary, narrative, branded, and episodic formats since.

She is drawn to stories about human connection, female experience, and the specific texture of everyday life. She is also a host, a cook, and an extremely serious herb grower.
